Editorial Standards

Senior Class Merch publishes guides to senior year for high school seniors, their parents, class officers and coaches. Here is how we make them.

Written for this school year

Every guide is written for the current class (right now, the Class of 2027) and reviewed each summer before the new school year. Costs, dates and trends are updated when they change, and the “updated” date at the top of each guide shows the last review.

Accurate and practical

Prices are given as typical ranges, not promises, and we say when something varies by school, district or state. Quotes we list are either original or attributed to their source. We never invent statistics or school rules.

School-appropriate and kind

Our audience includes teenagers, so every idea is school-appropriate. Prank ideas are harmless and never damage property or target people. Traditions are written to include every student, whatever their family, budget or background.

How we use AI and images

We use research and writing tools, including AI, to help draft guides, and an editor reviews the topics, structure and facts. Photos on the site are illustrative images generated for each guide and product. They do not show real students, real schools or finished customer orders.

Custom orders and how we make money

Senior Class Merch earns money from custom group orders. Our guides include a box inviting you to request a free quote for shirts, banners, yard signs and other printed gear, and we say clearly when a section is about our own service. Orders are produced by trusted print partners. If we ever add affiliate links or ads, we will label them. Guide advice is never for sale.
